At the center of this momentum is <strong data-start=\"339\" data-end=\"365\">India Accelerator (IA)<\/strong> \u2014 a platform that helps startups grow through funding, mentorship, and a strong support system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"465\" data-end=\"735\">Founded in <strong data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"484\">2017<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"505\">Ashish Bhatia<\/strong>, along with <strong data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"562\">Mona Singh, Deepak Sharma, Abhay Chawla,<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"584\">Munish Bhatia<\/strong>, IA has built what it calls a <strong data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"631\">\u201cmultiverse\u201d<\/strong> for startups. It focuses on the <strong data-start=\"664\" data-end=\"733\">4Cs of success \u2014 Capital, Competency, Connections, and Community.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"1027\">Since its launch, <strong data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"809\">India Accelerator has supported over 225 startups.<\/strong> Nearly two-thirds of them have raised follow-on funding, and about <strong data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"916\">33% have achieved successful exits.<\/strong> Over the past six years, IA has earned <strong data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"970\">6x returns<\/strong> on its investments \u2014 a sign of consistent performance.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1073\"><strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1073\">Building a Multiverse of Growth<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1277\">What began as a single accelerator programme has now grown into a <strong data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1172\">complete startup ecosystem.<\/strong> Today, IA connects entrepreneurs with investors, corporates, universities, and even government bodies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1509\">Its portfolio includes <strong data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1378\">Brainwired, Farmology, SustainKart, eVolt India, Prophaze, Task Tracker,<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1401\">Avenue Growth.<\/strong> These startups span diverse fields such as <strong data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1494\">agritech, fintech, healthtech, cybersecurity,<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1507\">D2C.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1675\">\u201c<strong data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1623\">Our philosophy is early in, early out. We enter at the riskiest stage, derisk startups, and help them grow,<\/strong>\u201d says <strong data-start=\"1630\" data-end=\"1647\">Ashish Bhatia<\/strong>, CEO and cofounder of IA.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"1723\"><strong data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1723\">The 4Cs Driving the IA Multiverse<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1725\" data-end=\"2155\"><strong data-start=\"1725\" data-end=\"1737\">Capital:<\/strong> IA provides seed funding to startups in India and the UAE. It works through SEBI-approved AIFs and partnerships with angels, VCs, and the <strong data-start=\"1876\" data-end=\"1913\">Global Accelerator Network (GAN).<\/strong><br data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"1916\" \/>In 2023, IA launched <strong data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"1949\">Finvolve<\/strong>, a joint venture with <strong data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"1988\">Finsolutions<\/strong>, to bring <strong data-start=\"1999\" data-end=\"2037\">wealth managers and family offices<\/strong> into the startup investment space. The goal is to channel <strong data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2114\">$50\u201360 million<\/strong> into startups over the next few years.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2341\"><strong data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2172\">Competency:<\/strong> IA\u2019s mentor network, <strong data-start=\"2194\" data-end=\"2205\">iAngels<\/strong>, has more than <strong data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2238\">1,800 experts<\/strong> from various industries. They guide founders on scaling, product development, and business strategy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2343\" data-end=\"2572\"><strong data-start=\"2343\" data-end=\"2359\">Connections:<\/strong> Through <strong data-start=\"2368\" data-end=\"2390\">IA Open Innovation<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2395\" data-end=\"2405\">IA CEP<\/strong>, startups can partner with large corporates and academic institutions. These programmes help startups test ideas, build prototypes, and access real-world use cases.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2574\" data-end=\"2775\"><strong data-start=\"2574\" data-end=\"2588\">Community:<\/strong> IA has built <strong data-start=\"2602\" data-end=\"2620\">coworking hubs<\/strong> in Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Dubai. These spaces give founders a chance to collaborate, test their products, and connect with similar communities.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2782\" data-end=\"2821\"><strong data-start=\"2786\" data-end=\"2821\">Powering India\u2019s Startup Future<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2823\" data-end=\"3137\">IA also works closely with <strong data-start=\"2850\" data-end=\"2871\">state governments<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"2875\" data-end=\"2904\">Gujarat, Haryana, Odisha,<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2909\" data-end=\"2919\">Kerala<\/strong>, as well as <strong data-start=\"2932\" data-end=\"2941\">MeitY<\/strong>. The aim is to strengthen local startup networks and support innovation at the grassroots.<br data-start=\"3032\" data-end=\"3035\" \/>By the end of 2024, IA plans to close a <strong data-start=\"3075\" data-end=\"3101\">\u20b9150 Cr GIFT City Fund<\/strong> to help startups expand globally.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3139\" data-end=\"3404\">Looking ahead, IA is shifting towards what it calls the <strong data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3227\">\u201caircraft carrier approach.\u201d<\/strong> Instead of focusing on a single sector, it identifies large, long-term trends and invests in the core innovations (\u201caircraft\u201d) and the surrounding opportunities (\u201ccarriers\u201d).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3406\" data-end=\"3589\">As Bhatia explains, \u201c<strong data-start=\"3427\" data-end=\"3586\">The next decade will belong to those who can spot emerging trends early and invest in the ecosystems around them. That\u2019s where India Accelerator is headed.<\/strong>\u201d With its growing multiverse, <strong data-start=\"3625\" data-end=\"3646\">India Accelerator<\/strong> is more than an accelerator.
